A conceptual data model promoting data-driven circular manufacturing

Abstract Circular economy (CE) paradigm fosters manufacturing companies’ sustainability taking place through different circular (CM) strategies. These strategies allow companies to be internally committed embrace values and externally aligned with several stakeholders not necessarily belonging the same supply chain. Nevertheless, these CM adoption is limited by heterogeneous barriers, among which management sharing of data information remain most relevant ones, bounding decision-making process manufacturers in CM. Moreover, extant literature unveiled need structure a reference model make them usable manufacturers. Therefore, goal present work propose developing conceptual standardise necessary support manufacturers’ process. Through this model, gathered are elucidated, providing an overview ones should managed internally, shared externally, clarifying presence their mutual interdependencies. The was conceptualised developed relying on improved validated academic industrial experts’ interviews.
